Question #1: βIn regard to the Mars Hill article (and the poll): Surely there was a question of how Corban should respond when the controversy with Mark Driscoll came out, but what will happen now that Mars Hill is dissolving?β
We will plan to move our one-year Bible certificate program to another site near Bellevue, Washington so the existing students can complete their program. We have this obligation regardless what happens to Mars Hill Churches.
Question #2: “If Nord does not agree Corban should pull away from the partnership,” then why have all Corban’s pages referencing the partnership been removed?β
We have determined to fulfill our commitment to offer the one-year Bible certificate program. To pull away from the partnership would be to not fulfill that commitment, which we made to our accreditation organization, and to students who had enrolled. We have changed our on-line messaging as there have been daily developments on the status of Mars Hill Church. Changing our messaging is clearly not the same as changing our relationships, or our commitments.
