Looking for some good music, free food, and a chance to support your very own Corbanites? Then check out the CD release show at Salem First Baptist Church tonight. Three local bands will be playing, two of which include Corban students. The bands are: Branches Company, Summer In July (featuring Corban students Summer Stephenson and Julian Philips) and Starship Renegade (featuring Corban Student Simon Howard). The event is free -including snacks and refreshments- however, there will be a place for donations and every donor will receive a raffle ticket for giveaways. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the music will start around 7:00 p.m.

If you’re interested in checking out some art in a more relaxed atmosphere then head over to the Bush Barn Art Center. Tonight they’ll have various artists performing traditional Indian dance, showing off their photography, reading poetry, and playing music live at their “Art Jam.”
The event is free and will go from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Roughly 20 minutes outside of Salem, Silverton will be hosting their “First Friday” event. Admission is free and there is live music, refreshments, and gallery showings. Shopping and dining areas will also be open late for the event.
The events lasts from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and is happening all throughout downtown Silverton.

If you’ve never been to the Oregon State Hospital Museum of Mental Health just off Center Street, this Saturday is a prime time to go. To celebrate their 1st birthday the museum is letting people in for absolutely free from noon to 4:00 p.m.
