Have you ever wished Shari’s had a milkshake flavor designed by the people, for the people?
Call the manager of Shari’s on Lancaster your genie, because your wish is about to come true!
One evening, Cecilee Russell, Brendan Dettwyler and friends were enjoying conversation at Shari’s on Lancaster, as hundreds of Corban students have done before, when two of the waitresses approached the group and began asking questions about Corban.
These questions led into a conversation about how Shari’s would like to thank Corban for their consistent business. Shari’s gratitude will be expressed to Corban with the creation of a new milkshake: the Warrior Shake.
“They asked what our school colors and mascot are,” said Brendan Dettwyler, ASB Communications Coordinator. “Their manager came out to speak with us and shared his thoughts about doing a contest to let [Corban] choose the flavor for the Warrior Shake.”
“We thought it was only fair to let the students decide what flavors they want,” said Ben Maison, ASB Vice President.
Thus, “Shari’s Shake Soirée” was born.
“You can submit your milkshake ideas at any of the milkshake idea stations. The idea submission stations are at Student Life, the Corban mailroom, Shari’s on Lancaster, and online at http://asb.corban.edu/warrior-shake-contest/,” Maison said. “There will be prizes for the students whose ideas were chosen as the top three flavors.”
Ideas will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10.
Shari’s will take the top three ideas and create milkshakes of those flavors. Steve Hunt, Cathy Downs, Jim Hills and Becky Peters will be judging the top three flavors at the Shari’s Shake Soirée on Oct. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Corban library. The judges will choose which flavor will become the Warrior Shake.
