Kyle Boardman
Running for Activities Coordinator
Major: Pastoral Ministry
Why he's running: After helping moderate HvZ in the Fall Semester 2013, I discovered how satisfying it is to plan an event and then sit back and see other people enjoy it. The Activities Coordinator position is a great way to give back to Corban and tackle an important responsibility that needs to be done, and I'd be glad to contribute my skills and ideas to make each ASB event something to look forward to.
What's his game-plan if he makes it into office? Something important to me that I'm also incorporating into this semester of HvZ is community feedback. For instance, if I don't listen to what people say when I plan the Barn Party, then what am I really planning it for if no one wants to go? Also, if people come up to me afterwards and tell me things that could have gone better but I still don't listen and do the same thing for the next event, then what's the point of being in office? That's why I plan on giving a survey or something getting your guys' feedback after each event, letting me know what went well, what didn't go so well, what you would have liked to see at this particular event (for future years), and what you'd like to see at the next event. Also, another priority of mine is hearing the community's ideas on potential events they would like to see happen or bring back from previous years. If I'm elected, I want everyone to know they can always suggest ideas for ASB events. For every idea I have, I'm sure there's 3 more around campus, and chances are a lot of them are better than mine. So let me know and I'll try to make it happen!
