Ready to “Move that bus”? Corban students have the opportunity to volunteer as a group on the ABC television program “Extreme Home Makeover.”
After the Haiti earthquake Jan. 12, Laura Silsby sped up her plans to establish an orphanage in the Dominican Republic. She solicited volunteers throughout the United States to help open her orphanage immediately. Corban junior Bianca Davis discovered her friends Matt and Lora Crider had gone with the team to the Dominican Republic. “You never really understand the seriousness of a situation until someone you know is involved,” she said.
Attendees of the Corban Experience got to see first hand the men of Farrar Hall compete in their annual “pumpkin smash.”
Corban students participate in the ROTC program while being on campus with full-time academics.
Corban College will end the decade next year with a switch in status and name. It will be known as Corban University.
