In the hopes of presenting a more interesting review, Rob Saffeels and Meredith Smith went to see a movie together and now offer their guy/girl opinions of the film.
Edith: “Oh my gosh! What a freakin’ adorable movie! I almost cried. That’s seriously one of the best movies I’ve seen this year.”
Robert: “Uuuuuummm… I guess it was pretty good, but it could have been better.”
Edith: “What do you mean?! It had romance and plot and a subtle twist at the end. That’s all you need for a great movie.”
Robert: “Yeah, maybe if you’re a chick. That movie was totally lame. No action. No violence. What the heck.”
Edith: “Josh Duhammel was soooo fine. And the baby was pretty cute too. He portrayed what most guys think love is supposed to be like, but learned how to be responsible.”
Robert: “Are you kidding? He definitely wasn’t the best example. I wouldn’t give my baby to him. Just saying.”
Edith: “Well, I wouldn’t give my baby to you either. What now?”
Robert: “Then why was this such a great movie? That Kristin Heigl girl, whatever her name is, didn’t exactly portray the perfect mother either. Neither of them had very high morals, which I definitely feel is important for raising a child.”
Edith: “Well, maybe in real life. Not in Hollywood life. They do what they want.”
Robert: “Yeah, but I really think that the way they set up the plot for the story made it seem as though this could really happen.”
Edith: “I don’t think so. What is the likelihood that two best friends get married and try to set up their other two best friends and then the two best friends die and decide that the other two best friends that hate each other should raise a baby together? Just saying.”
Robert: “Stuff like this happens all the time… I wish they just hadn’t have shown the guy sleeping around.”
Edith: “Yep. Me too. That may happen all the time, but we don’t need to see it.”
Robert: “It was nice to see his change of heart at the end and show that he had a decent ounce of blood in his body.”
Edith: “Yeaaaahhh… that was my favorite part. I love it when a man is a man and takes responsibility and rescues his woman. That’s my favorite. The baby was also my favorite part. Because I love babies.”
Robert: “What’s up with girls and babies? I mean it “You mean SHE” whatever. It was a main character in the movie, but it didn’t really inspire me to go and get one of my own.”
Edith: “Well. That’s because you are a boy, and that’s exactly what the guy in the movie was thinking too. Sometimes it’s time just to grow up and be a man… and have a baby. With your wife. Which she wasn’t…. but then she was.”
Robert: “Overall a very unrealistic interpretation of falling in love. But a great way to personify the way that love doesn’t always come the way you expect it, but it will find you one day.”
Edith: “Oh! That’s so cute, Robby! You are so sensitive. That is a great quality in a man. I guess I should talk about the movie and not about you, though. Ladies, bring a man to this movie and you will see his true heart!”
