Want to get your dance on? Tonight, the Pearce Ballroom will be hosting a social dance for everyone from new dancers to competitive level dancers. There will be a half-hour lesson to begin the night followed by two hours of mixed music including: Swing, Ballroom, Latin, Salsa, Tango, etc. The dance starts at 7:30 p.m. and will last until 10:00 p.m. Admission is $10.

If you like dancing but would rather watch from the sidelines then check out Willamette University’s evening of dance. Their theatre program will be presenting a dance concert including lots of original choreography. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and lasts until 9:30 p.m. Admission for students is $8. The concert will begin at the same time on Sat. also.

To hear some live orchestra music, the Salem Chamber Orchestra will be having an open dress rehearsal. You’ll have the chance to listen to great live music, see behind the scenes and maybe even sit on stage with the band. The concert begins at 10:00 a.m. and will last until 12:30 p.m. Admission is free for students with valid I.D.

If you’re one of Corban’s many guitar players you might be interested in hitting the grocery store and then heading over to ABC Music. To help promote the Marion-Polk Food Share they are offering to re-string your guitar with new strings with a small donation of at least four cans or boxes of non-perishable food (or a cash donation). They’ll be offering the deal from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
