Do you think this week could be better? Why not try making it better with some batter? Pancake batter, that is.
In their annual celebration of National Pancake Day, IHOP restaurants around the nation are participating in the annual giving of free pancakes today from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. That’s right, each guest gets a free short stack of pancakes.
According to IHOP’s National Pancake Day website, http://www.ihoppancakeday.com, today marks the tenth anniversary of this celebration. When guests receive their free pancakes, they will be asked to consider donating to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals© or other designated local charities. Labeling it the “Decade of Giving,” the site said, “IHOP restaurants have raised nearly 16 million to support charities in the communities in which they operate.” This year’s goal for the company is to raise $3.5 million for charity.
While most of this free pancake celebration seems pretty sweet, there are some things to be aware of. Due to the high amount of pancake lovers in the country and city, the wait time to be seated and get the pancakes might be a little lengthy. So if one is planning on going, it might be wise to bring a friend or some homework to pass some of the waiting time. Also, each guest cannot get unlimited free pancakes, unfortunately.
Whether you decide to get free pancakes or not, have a good night and a batter Tuesday!
