“One time, the power went out everywhere so all the dorms and rooms had this eerie, mystical red lighting from the exit signs. This creepy guy in a mask (who will remain unnamed) started going nuts around the dorm. A group of friends and I went around the dorm looking for him. We went in the bathroom, heard the water running and he was sitting in the shower, slowly turning his head towards us. It was very scary movie-esque!”
If you were an animal what animal would you be and why?
“I would be a turtle because it is very relaxed, chill, not in a hurry and has a solid base of where it’s at.”
What does a Christian community look like to you?
“A Christian community to me is Corban. It’s being intentional. It’s loving each other in a selfless way and not expecting anything in return. Philippians talks about holding others needs as more significant than your own and valuing others above yourself. It’s also important to care for yourself. That is where community becomes important– having an inner circle to build you up and support you, and from there, going on to make more important relationships.”
What is your favorite Davidson memory?
“Freshman year we decided to have a videogame night. My roommate had a projector and we ended up having three different screens set up, so we played Halo until 4:00 in the morning. It got super competitive in a fun way, us just messing around and yelling at each other. There was so much laughter and funny things said that came out of that night.”

If you were an animal what animal would you be and why? Elephant don’t think my ears are big enough they are her favorite and they are interesting, wow god that’s quite the creature!
What does a Christian community look like to you?
A Christian community is being vulnerable and joyful, and having support to build you up. It’s a safe place to practice the world views we are learning, and take what you’re learning from bible and pour it out to others. It’s a tougher community because it’s real– the most genuine you can get, if it’s being done right.
What is your favorite Balyo memory?
Last year, when we came back from the end of the year party, we felt like we hadn’t danced enough. So we got some speakers, started blaring the song “Shut Up and Dance” and went up and down the elevators in Balyo and Davidson. We ran through the halls collecting people and fit as many as we could into the elevators for our dance party.

Favorite college memory?
“Each of the lumberjack games I have participated in have been special in their own way, but this last one was the most meaningful. The guys in the hall worked their butts off in the week leading up to it, and the whole hall came together as a group. I am proud of the way the freshmen stepped up big time during the actual event. I am thankful for the all of the guys and gals in the B.a.D. Area that make the Lumberjack Games such an exciting time. The emotions I felt when I hoisted the ax up in the air is something I won’t forget.”
If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
“I would be a monkey. I would like to swing through the trees in a jungle.”
What does a Christian community look like to you?
“A Christian community is a loving a community. Fellowship, fun, academics, and discipline all should spring from love in a Christian community. The cross on Calvary Hill is the greatest expression of love and should be our model to follow.”
