I am always interested in the simple life of this time period. Western ND has a great many story's about Teddy Roosevelt and his hunting trips to the Badlands and his love of the little town know as Medora. One can easily allow the mind to travel back to those days where a mansion in that town has been restored with the historic original artifacts of that time period.

Giving thought to the idea of the Rectors possibly burying their children in the back yard, I have a neighbor with some land reserved for a deer refuge who has chosen a quiet serene choice spot within his refuge with a plot for his entire family where he has already buried a younger brother. With permits and licensing, this is still possible even today.

Thank you for a great Heritage article.
